Registration for courses in the 2025\/26 winter semester<\/span><\/h4>\n

Registration for all courses takes place exclusively<\/strong> via the PLUSonline<\/a> study management system<\/strong>. According to the ranking procedure, you can only register for the waiting list. The allocation of places according to the ranking procedure takes place on Tuesday<\/b>September 23, 2025<\/strong><\/span>. <\/p>\n

Registration period for seminars (KO) and exercises (UE)<\/strong>
\nFri, 09\/09\/2025, from 6:00 p.m. \u2013 Sun, 09\/22\/2025, 11:59 p.m.<\/p>\n

Registration period for seminars (SE), internships (PR), and exercises with lectures (UV):<\/strong>
\nSaturday, September 10, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to Sunday, September 22, 2025, 11:59 p.m.<\/p>\n

Please note the staggered times for registering for the individual courses in PLUSonline! The allocation of places according to the ranking procedure will take place on Tuesday, September 23, 2025<\/strong><\/b><\/span>. <\/p>\n

Anyone who is registered for a course with continuous assessment (= all courses except lectures\/seminars) and does not attend the first session of the course will be deregistered by the course instructor. Students may only deregister themselves during the registration period (September 8 to September 22, 2025).<\/span><\/strong> After this period, please contact the secretariat or the respective course instructor.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

Admission requirements<\/h4>\n

ATTENTION: PLUSonline automatically checks whether you fulfill the respective admission requirements when you register for the courses with immanent examinations:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bachelor<\/h3>\n

Admission requirement for all courses with the exception of the basic courses (1-3):
\nThe positive completion of the Studies Induction and Orientation Phase (STEOP).<\/p>\n

Admission requirements for seminars and Bachelor’s seminars (SE):
\nPositive completion of modules 1-4; for BA seminars positive completion of modules 1-8 (except KO Reflexion Praxis and SE Forschungsfelder 4).<\/p>\n

Admission requirements for courses in Module 4:
\nSuccessful completion of Methods 1 is a prerequisite for participation in Methods 2. Participation in Methods 3 (Quantitative Communication Research) requires completion of both Methods 1 and Statistics BA.<\/p>\n

Master’s programme<\/h3>\n

Admission prerequisite for the UE In-depth empirical research:
\nPositive completion of the module examination (Module 1).<\/p>\n

Admission requirements for Module 6 (Master):
\nPositive completion of the module examination (Module 1) as well as KO Key Texts and VU Statistics MA.<\/p>\n

Admission requirements for projects:
\nPart 1 of the project (UE Project – Part 1) can already be attended in the first semester of the Master’s degree course.
