Following the exhibition &#8221; Forgotten Worlds and Blind Spots &#8220;, Prof. Dr. Hanan Badr, Head of the Unit of Public Spheres and Inequalities, will lead an open discussion with the students at AAI to critically reflect on biases in global communication and foreign media coverage, with a particular focus on the media neglect of the Global South.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition &#8220;Forgotten Worlds and Blind Spots &#8221; presents the findings of a long-term study by Dr. Ladislaus Ludescher at the Karl Ruprecht University of Heidelberg, in which examined over 5,100 broadcasts of the Tagesschau and other leading German media. Findings prove the neglect of the Global South in the media as \u201eblind spots&#8221; in reporting.
