Lisa Schulze is a doctoral candidate in the division of Media Use and Digital Cultures at the department of Communication Studies. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Media Studies with a minor in literature, Cultural Studies, and Media Studies at the University of Siegen in 2014. She completed her master’s degree in Media Culture at the University of Bremen in 2019. Before she began her doctorate studies at the University of Salzburg in 2019, she worked as a student assistant at the Center for Media, Communication and Information Research (ZeMKI) at the University of Bremen. She contributed to various Projects, such as the MapRecorder project, which explored the use of navigation apps. Her dissertation focuses on navigation media and other tools that wheelchair users use to navigate. Her research interests range from mobile methods, navigation practices and mobile media to theoretical approaches on space and disability.
