Rebecca Breg, BA, MA is a research assistant/ doctoral student in the Media Use & Digital Cultures division. She studied communication science in the bachelor’s degree at the University of Salzburg and spent one year at the IULM University in Milan. She then participated in the university’s MCM (Media Communication Management) master’s program in cooperation with Fudan University in Shanghai. Her current research focuses on media education topics such as the inclusion of media in schools, social inequality and other social challenges in the area of school, media and youth. The topic of the dissertation is: “The media habitus and its influence on the behaviour of children and young people between 12 and 15 years from different school environments. A comparison between middle schools and high schools in Bavaria.”
