Master’s Program in Bremen: Digital Media and Society
The University of Bremen offers the M.A. in Digital Media and Society, an English-language, research-intensive master’s program—applications are being accepted until March 15.
The interdisciplinary master’s program at ZeMKI (Centre for Media, Communication and Information Research) at the University of Bremen combines communication and media studies with computer science, cultural studies, and other disciplines. The program focuses on how digital media and data are transforming our society—with a strong theoretical foundation and a practical, methodologically grounded approach.
The two-year full-time program (taught in English) includes, among other things, a research seminar in small groups, a mentoring program, and practice-oriented courses with partners from the media industry and the business sector. There are no tuition fees; the semester fee is 400 euros and includes a Deutschlandticket.
Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in communication or media studies (or related fields) and have C1-level English proficiency. Applications will be accepted until March 15, 2026, via the University of Bremen’s online portal.
Further information and the promotional video are available on the ZeMKI program page.
