Completion of the Master’s Programme “Communication, Culture & Participation”
The master’s programme is completed once all modules, the cross-sectional module, elective courses, the master’s thesis, and the commission-based master’s examination have been successfully completed.
Step by step to the master’s degree:

Complete all modules & elective courses
- Successful completion of modules 1-6 as well as the cross-sectional module on socio-ecological crises.
- Additionally, 6 ECTS from free elective courses must be recognized.
⚠️ Important: Request recognition of free elective courses in advance!

Write and submit the master’s thesis
- The master’s thesis (20 ECTS) must be prepared in your chosen specialization and must receive a passing grade.

Take the commission-based master’s examination
- Admission only after successful completion of all courses and the master’s thesis.
- The examination includes:
- a presentation of the master’s thesis,
- questions about the work by the examination commission,
- questions on a further topic area of your choice from the curriculum

Complete and submit the examination transcript
- Enter all completed modules, elective courses, the master’s thesis, and the master’s examination in the examination transcript.
- Submit in person or by email to the examination office of the Faculty of Culture and Social Sciences (Unipark Nonntal, Erzabt-Klotz-Straße 1).

Submit the statistical form
- After successful completion, you will receive an email from the examination office to your student email address.
- Please send the mandatory statistical form (PDF) immediately to: KW-GW-Pruefungsreferat@plus.ac.at

Receipt of final documents
- Only after receipt of the statistical form will the examination office issue the officially signed final documents (degree certificate, conferment notice, diploma supplement) and transmit them by email.
