The Division of Public Spheres and Inequalities is concerned with analysing public spheres and inequalities at macro-, meso- and microlevels, focusing on globalisation and digitalisation.
Your Responsibilities
- Independent research activity in context of the doctoral studies
- Support in research and teaching of the division public spheres and inequalities
- Independent teaching
- Writing and publishing the doctoral dissertation
Admission Requirements
- Completed bachelor’s or master’s degree in communication studies with a clearfocus on public relations and inequality research
- Enrollment in the doctoral program at the University of Salzburg
- Sound and differentiated knowledge of theories and methods in communicationstudies
- Experience with quantitative and qualitative methods
- Good written and spoken German and English skills
- Experience in academic writing is preferred
Desired Qualification
- Strong interest in research areas of communication, media, and migration, with consideration of globalization and the production of journalistic and media formats
- Knowledge of postcolonial theories and decolonial approaches to communicationstudies research areas
- Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative methods as well as experience withcomputer-assisted QDA analysis
We offer an annual gross salary of at least € 52,007.20 for a fulltime position. An overpayment based on qualification and experience is possible.
