Antonia Bockamp is a doctoral candidate and research assistant in the Division Public Spheres and Inequalities. After earning her bachelor’s degree in 2023 from the Technical University of Ilmenau, she pursued her master’s degree at the University of Salzburg, graduating in 2025. In her master’s thesis, she examined expert discourse surrounding journalists in exile. During her master’s program, she worked as a research assistant in the department and also served as a teaching assistant for various courses.

Her research interests focus on inequalities in global communication structures and their impact on media development and funding, as well as power asymmetries and their influence on journalistic practices.
